Beats



Des Yelal premiered on Mad Decent in November of 2013, released by Mal Dicen x Latino Resiste x ARTVSM. The EP features the best beats made from sampling an Ethiopian masinko AND and a soccer chant from the Ethiopia vs. South Africa world cup qualifier and making it into a killing make an Azonto/Afrobeat Dance beat. As always the challenge was hosted by Walshy Fire of Major Lazer, and the winners were selected by Azonto-founder FUSE ODG download the Des Yelal EP here or stream below:

Fiji Chant premiered on Mad Decent on Sepember 6th, 2013 released by Mal Dicen x Latino Resiste x ARTVSM. The EP features Fijian beat makers, as well as their international counterparts, flipping a Fijian chant into Moombahton madness. Kora Riddim premiered on Mad Decent on June 18th, 2013 released by Mal Dicen x Latino Resiste x ARTVSM. The EP features producers hailing from Czech Republic [Adam Lanči aka Coco Jammin’] to the Cayman Islands [Cotterell] that responded to our beat making challenge – to a create a dancehall-inspired riddim sampling a traditional kora. No Puede Conmigo premiered on Mad Decent on May 10th, 2013 released by Mal Dicen x Latino Resiste x ARTVSM. The EP features beats, original songs and remixes inspired by the carnival festivals, youth and prisons of Panama; with production by Kulakostas, Treee City, the13th Tribe, The Beast, Barrio Fino, Yomira John, Apple Juice Kid, Bumps, Caballo and Professor Angel Sound.

Amani Goma premiered on Mad Decent March 29th, 2013 on the Latino Resiste/Mal Dicen/ARTVSM labels. On the EP you will find the original Cho Cho Cho, produced by Goma youth, and 2 remixes by Khevin de Leon aka The 13th Tribe and CAЯИИIBAL; as well as the original Zenga (produced by Apple Juice Kid) feat. Flamme Kapaya and its heavy trap remix.

Tar Heel Tracks is a 10-song instrumental album produced by UNC Beat Making Lab, and released in collaboration with Shuffle Magazine on May 14th, 2012.
